What's on my bookshelf?

Hello my followers, I thought today would be the perfect day to let you into to see what's sitting on my bookshelf.

I have to start with The Giver.  I fell in love with this book in 6th grade!  I never realized until recently that that was the first dystopian I ever loved, therefor it will always have a special place in my heart.  I must admit, I haven't read the other books in the series, but they are on my "to read" list.

Most recently I read the Hush Hush Sage by Becca Fitzpatrick.  I read the entire series in under two weeks.  I was a bit OCD with it.  Clearly, I really liked this series.

I am always a sucker for Janet Evanovich.  I have read all of the Stephanie Plum novels and laughed during each one.

I am also a big Patricia Cornwell fan.  The Scarpetta books are my favorite, as I have read every one.

A book out of left field that I loved and speak very highly of is Angela's Ashes.  I was required to read it in my Irish lit. class my senior year of high school and it's been one of those books that have just stuck with me.  Maybe because it was the first time I got to understand what a poverty stricken life was like (yes I count my blessing) or the fact that I was pleasantly surprised by my life for the book, but I would certainly recommend this read.

The book that has scared me shitless was Midnight Express.  I know that there is a movie out there but that book left nothing to be desired in the drug trafficking business.  I am actually making my children read this book so they understand first hand what that life is like.  Although it creeped me out, I still really enjoyed it.

You'll also find the beloved Twilight Series, Magic Study series, Divergent Series, Matched Series, Chemical Gardens Trilogy, Birthmarked Series, The Selection Series,  Shatter Me trilogy, Vampire Academy, Hunger Games and 50 Shades of Grey series on my shelf.  I enjoyed them all, some more than others.

Others that have found themselves a space include, Graceling, Fire, Delirium, The many lives of Avery Snow, Blood Red Road, Daughter of Smoke & Bone and Before I fall.

There are so many more titles that I've read and loved but this is a great starting point.  Hope I've given you some great suggestions!!  Happy reading everyone!!!!!
